Inspiration comes to us all in many ways, but sometimes it’s hard to find a way to create a visual example of what is in one’s mind. These cards will focus on stirring that inspiration within the artists, who can then use these prompts as a kickstarter to create their own original work.
With my current project of creating a deck of tarot cards, I am aiming to help myself and others with the process of creation. The cards are a way to stay away from the screen while simultaneously giving inspiration to those who wish to make art. The major arcana is what I am currently focusing on, and will provide subject examples as well as individual aspects of the user’s art to focus on. These examples include prompts for landscapes, animals, art principles, and other subject matter. Using these cards will keep non-artistic distractions to a minimum. This gives the user an opportunity to find inspiration from their own creative mindset, rather than using social media for research, becoming distracted, and thus forgetting about their creative energy in the first place.
