No Hay Amor Como el Amor de Una Madre
Three-colored ink reductive serigraphy print on Stonehenge paper
11’’ x 15’’
Through the abstracted warm depiction of a mother and child as a natural element, this piece relates the human figure and feelings to the power and timelessness of nature. The fire is used as a metaphor to illustrate the strong love and bond of a human mother and child and how this can also be applied to nature’s relationship of humans; no matter how reckless we are with our environment it continues to protect us. The fact that the fire is created (bonfire) symbolizes humans’ ability to engender nature and how that connects us on a spiritual level with our surrounding.
