Passion
Paper mache on wire armature, acrylic paints
4’ x 2’ x 1’
This piece was inspired by the melody of Beethoven’s Fur Elise which flows like a calm river the passionate meaning behind it. With its undulating- sometimes angular- corners and facets, the piece embodies natural elements like flowing lava or rolling hills that burst out of the wall much like the bursting feelings of passion and love humans can feel for one another. This sculpture is an indistinguishable amalgamation of fierce natural events and human emotions and seeks to physically represent that which resides only in the psyche.
