Perfectly imperfect: The statement that describes me and my art. Too many people strive to be a perfect composition, but often fail when realizing that goal is virtually impossible. Many artists strive to make perfect art with perfect, lines, color combinations, and ideas. We often loose ourselves in the quest to be perfect rather than rejoicing in the imperfect because it is the art of being imperfect that give us joy and comfort to create and capture whatever we want in a composition.
My art is taking pride in the joy and process of making art. I enjoy the unpredictability of my creative freedom and mind, whether that being while holding a charcoal pencil or going for a walk with my camera and capturing whatever I see. Rather than undoing and starting over, I continue to see what good can come from the mistakes I make in life and as an artist. Keeping in mind that in the end I always come up with a perfectly imperfect composition.
